In 2018 Erin, my wife and mother to our two children, experienced a stroke. During recovery, she suffered debilitating migraines. These have been a reality of life ever since. With urgency, I began documenting our family memories on film and printed works on silver gelatin paper, so that our experiences, so often seen through migraine fog, could be appreciated in future times. Erin is mostly photographed with closed eyes, simultaneously beautiful and painful.
